Everything that applies when you use Mintoo, a product of Agentwave Ltd, in plain English.
What Mintoo is, and isn't
Mintoo is
- An app to send, request and split euros with people you know
- Your own wallet: only you can approve a payment from it
- A shared record of who owes whom between friends
- A chat around the money you share
- Mintoo charges no fees today. Any partner fee is shown before you confirm
- Software made by Agentwave Ltd, a company registered in Malta
Mintoo isn't
- A bank. Your balance isn't a bank deposit
- An electronic money institution or a payment institution
- A crypto exchange, broker or trading app
- A lender. Recording a debt isn't credit, and there's no interest
- An investment product. No yield, no returns
- Holding your money. We can't move or recover it for you
Mintoo is software that lets you hold and send EURC, a euro stablecoin, in your own wallet. Agentwave Ltd never receives or holds your money or crypto-assets, and has no key or signer on your wallet. We don't hold a licence as a bank, an electronic money institution, a payment institution or a crypto-asset service provider, because we believe the service doesn't need one. We're having this position confirmed by Maltese counsel. EURC is issued by Circle Internet Financial Europe SAS, an electronic money institution authorised by the ACPR in France. Adding money and cashing out, when available, are provided by a licensed partner under its own licence and terms.
